The Line

The line can be subdued or released.

You can work from total mastery. No doubt about it. Absolute control of the form and its balance with the environment. It generates a perfect image in its perfection. A perfect reality.

Another way is to let it go. We recognize what it tells us, but from an unknown beauty. It shows us an invented reality. It is perfect in its imperfection.

The two lines can be poetry if they are poetry.

If a line is left halfway, it will be very difficult for it to be poetry and it will be closer to error. If in a group of lines that turn out to be perfect, one is imperfect, the reader will most likely consider it a drawing error.
