ink, then watercolor
I’m still looking for order. The procedure. The way to do it. Today I found that I can start by making an ink drawing and then apply watercolor on it, without it blurring or undoing it. I don’t know why, but that’s the way it is. This can make things a lot easier for me.
I’m liking white. The space it generates is full. Well used, it has an inexhaustible beauty. The lines of the pen can now be very fine. I don’t need to wear them on top of tempera anymore.
I have also found that I can make backgrounds with tempera and then overlay the drawings on top of it on the computer. It works well. They blend well and textures are not rejected.
All these things leave the way open to the true reason and cause of everything. The drawing above. The sketch that I will trace with ink.
